Seedlings on every windowsill
Every sill in the house now holds a tray of something. Tomatoes by the south window, beans in the hall, and a row of lettuces on the bathroom shelf that I regret only a little.
I lost a third of the tomatoes to damping off. Too much water, too little air. The survivors are sturdy and slightly offended.
Next year: smaller trays, a fan on a low setting, and a written schedule instead of optimism.
